The 5th edition of LUMINA Light Festival, is held in Cascais from September 8th to 11th 2016, embracing artworks from several countries spread along the Path of Light, providing moments of discovery, magic and thrill to the audience. Throughout these four nights, the audience will be guided along a sequential path through fascinating magical atmospheres that ensure a stunning sensory experience and an innovative cultural experience. Through dynamic multimedia installations, video mapping and light projections on iconic buildings of Cascais, the Light Festival highlights the historical heritage of the town providing at the same time unique moments of discovery to be lived with family or among friends. Being an integral part of an international network of Light Festivals, this brilliant event is created and produced by the studio OCUBO - with artistic direction of Nuno Maya and Carole Purnelle - national and international reference in the fields of video mapping and interactive projections, with projects carried out all over the world. With an investment from the Municipal Council of Cascais, the European Union, embassies and private companies, LUMINA is an unique event that reinforces Cascais identity and reflects the municipiality commitment in the diversification of its cultural offer.
